Okay, it now looks like Joss is really gone, so I'm going to punch out now.

See you guys in September.

Later,

Ty King

Hi, Jennie. Bye, Jennie. I have put in my almost seven hours and must be gone. Besides, I don't have a good history with people named Jennie/Jenny.

Goodnight, all.

Gone

Malista - - No, you only get drafted once a night. I'm good. I'm gone.

aglaea - - What you need to do is have A.D.D. like I have, then the caffeine actually has a calming and sedating effect. So, you might want to look into that.

X-Lander - - Bye.

Goodnight, Kalika. Glad I could help take your mind off the Horrific Scary Killer Quake of '99.

Time to get horizontal.

Goodnight all.

METEOR!

Kalika - - No more ice cream for you, young lady!

Miguel - - I did not! Just stop it, okay? Just stop it!

not Mabb - - Not you, too! You're all just big stinky meanies, so I'm leaving.

Gone

Kalika - - Just when I think we're getting past our rocky start... POW!, another verbal sucker punch from you.

Oops, I just saw what you wrote in the parentheses (I read slowly). Never mind.

^
Ty King says:
(Sat Oct 16 04:21:06 1999 152.163.195.189)
gazoo - - Yes, I am starving. In fact, I'm going to the kitchen to get myself a bagel. Can I get anybody else anything as long as I'm up? Can I freshen that Pepsi, Shadowslayer?

^
Ty King says:
(Sat Oct 16 04:17:34 1999 152.163.195.189)
Mentheus - - I don't know you, but I like you already.

Malista - - I know you sent me away, but when the quake hit, my first thought was, "If I'm going to die tonight, I want it to be on the Buffy Board."

AKA Becker - - I already did that thing where I sleep. Just last Monday, in fact. But, thanks for reminding me.

^
Ty King says:
(Sat Oct 16 04:13:04 1999 152.163.195.189)
Mentheus - - So far, the fourth season has been a multi-part storyline about earthquakes. Of course, that all ends in episode #5 when Cordelia's "parents" come to town.

kugelmass - - lol about the "Hector" thing.

And, by the way, that spot is where I spilled my Diet Coke when the quake hit. I did not... repeat not have an accident! So, let's just put that to rest right now.

^
Ty King says:
(Sat Oct 16 04:09:55 1999 152.163.195.189)
Kenicke - - Hi, I'm doing fine. What legend? What film?

Mabb - - I'm only disturbed that Miguel has a rooster and I don't!

Shadowslayer - - I don't mean to criticize, but Pepsi is for tidal waves. Diet Coke is for earthquakes. Try to go with the appropriate beverage.

^
Ty King says:
(Sat Oct 16 04:06:03 1999 152.163.195.189)
Oh, no... they're going to call it the "Hector Earthquake"? Aw, that's a lousy name. I think it should be the "Horrific Scary Killer Earthquake." The people at Cal Tech have no imagination.

^
Ty King says:
(Sat Oct 16 03:56:51 1999 152.163.195.189)
Hey, I'm going into the kitchen to get myself a Diet Coke. Anybody want anything while I'm up?

^
Ty King says:
(Sat Oct 16 03:54:23 1999 152.163.195.189)
Yikes, a train derailment!

Witchy Woman - - Honestly, I posted (because I know from experience that during these things, it's nice to know other people are feeling it, too), then I immediately unplugged the computer to call my wife (only one phone line in this apartment) to wake her up to tell her that if she hears about an earthquake on the radio when she wakes up tomorrow, that I am okay.

^
Ty King says:
(Sat Oct 16 03:51:16 1999 152.163.195.189)
Kalika - - See, I really am nice. Just a few minutes before the quake started, God knocked on my door (at first, I thought he was another stripper sent by peri) and he asked me for directions to your house. He said something about needing to come down from the heavens and get you or something. So, I gave him a fake address just a few miles outside of Joshua Tree. So, you owe me a big favor! Now, who's mean?

^
Ty King says:
(Sat Oct 16 03:47:32 1999 152.163.195.189)
aglaea - - I am a veteran of one quake. I lived four miles from the epicenter of the Northridge quake of a few years ago. $300,000 worth of earthquake damage to my house. This one wasn't as bad as that, but only because I knew my family was safe, no matter what happened.

Kalika - - I did the curling up into a ball thing during the aftershocks. But the main quake was all shrieking and running around bumping into walls.

^
Ty King says:
(Sat Oct 16 03:43:45 1999 152.163.195.189)
Malista - - Okay, I take back what I said earlier about not being sweet on you. When you roll out the earthquake numbers like that... I just shake all over.

^
Ty King says:
(Sat Oct 16 03:41:07 1999 152.163.195.202)
Witchy - - Okay... but I bet I was the first one to scream like a little girl and run around bumping into walls.

^
Ty King says:
(Sat Oct 16 03:39:38 1999 152.163.195.202)
Darn, keep hitting 888 instead of 666 on my name code. Sorry.

^
Ty King says:
(Sat Oct 16 03:35:23 1999 152.163.195.202)
G'night, DeM!

^
Ty King says:
(Sat Oct 16 03:31:00 1999 152.163.195.202)
btw...

1st to call the earthquake!

kugelmass - - My accent is mostly Houston (which the locals pronounce "Yew-stun"), with four years of Austin thrown in and years in Los Angeles and Seattle trying to lose it.

KANE - - Not interested in overthrowing Bill Gates. Not with the Micrsoft Death Squad, version 4.0 that roams the tiny island where I live.

Okay, so this was an aftershock of a '92 quake, just as Tiamat guessed. Way to go, Seattle! First to call the quake, and first to call the origin! Woo-hoo!

^
Ty King says:
(Sat Oct 16 03:26:54 1999 152.163.195.202)
Baby Cordy - - Well, sorry you have to run and eat, but "nice to meet you." Sorry we couldn't have met under more stable circumstances.

^
Ty King says:
(Sat Oct 16 03:23:35 1999 152.163.195.202)
Okay, dropped tag, and the last post should have read "You kill one lousy computer teacher..." eye suck

^
Ty King says:
(Sat Oct 16 03:22:08 1999 152.163.195.202)
KANE - - You hate your British accent. Want to trade for my Texas drawl? Hey, I'll even throw in an autographed Joss Whedon card... as soon as I replace my old one.

^
Ty King says:
(Sat Oct 16 03:20:04 1999 152.163.195.202)
menkhare - - Thanks for the info about CNN International. For a second there, I thought the quake was so bad, that LA broke away from the continent and sailed across the Pacific to Great Britain.

Okay, so who wants to give me the geography lesson?

Kalika - - Geez, you kill on lousy computer teacher/gypsy, and they never let you live it down.

^
Ty King says:
(Sat Oct 16 03:15:10 1999 152.163.195.202)
Wow, and everyone on CNN now has a British accent, too. The anchor and the weatherwoman! It's a world gone mad... although the accents are kind of nice. Soothing. Calming. Ahhhhhh....

^
Ty King says:
(Sat Oct 16 03:11:26 1999 152.163.195.202)
Kalika - - Sure, blame the scary man for your ice cream consumage. ;-)

^
Ty King says:
(Sat Oct 16 03:10:05 1999 152.163.195.202)
Okay, now I can't tell aftershocks from my own shaking. My last personal shudder was a 4.5, easy.

^
Ty King says:
(Sat Oct 16 03:06:39 1999 152.163.195.202)
Kalika - - Well, stay on the board if you want to. That way, you won't be alone. Scary here, too.

^
Ty King says:
(Sat Oct 16 03:03:15 1999 152.163.195.202)
Can't believe no local stations have broken in with news yet. Have you Angelenos gotten this sedate since I left four years ago?

^
Ty King says:
(Sat Oct 16 03:00:41 1999 152.163.195.202)
Little aftershock there. Anyone else feel that?

^
Ty King says:
(Sat Oct 16 02:59:13 1999 152.163.195.202)
Sorry, didn't mean to be alarmist... also didn't mean to be lurking... but that was a pretty good one. Not nearly the Northridge quake, but here in the Valley, it seemed to last forever. I actually posted, and it was still going on when my post showed up. Wow. Just waiting for the local stations to break in and tell me more.

Gone... (oh, the hell with it)

And remind me to try to talk about something other than just "Buffy" next time.

Okay, Mal... I'm ready.

Ty King says:

Tiama (sic) - - Goodnight, 5 headed sumerian diety dragon. You're in charge of Seattle while I'm gone.

Goodnight, Kalika. But remember: next time, no baskin robbin's chocolate blast in the L.O.S.E.R.s' lounge unless you bring enough for everybody.

Goodnight, Sita. How you balance being a Canadian Mom and a Night Goddess at the same time is beyond me.

Malista - - Shucks, t'weren't nothing. I just took an old Robert Frost poem and changed a few of the words. Goodnight, Mal.

elusio - - Now, there are no "wrong countries"... unless you live in Indonesia. Remember that.

And I am not sweet on Mal! Stop teasing me about that!

Oh, my gosh... look at the time. I must be off.

Goodnight, all.

And goodnight, Indonesia, wherever you are.

early morning...gotta go!

Kalika: Nice to meet ya! Hope to have a chance to talk again for a longer time.

Witchy Woman: Hey back atcha! Doin' Vegas?

Adina: Yeah, I think we got word about something like that awhile ago. We just need to let folks know where to get the CD upfront...like THIS!

Jasmen: You Rock!

Peri: I'm glad I made you glad for making me glad for liking our theme! *g*

Shadowslayer: I'll have to come by earlier and stay longer next time!

kugelmass: Thank you sixteen times over!! =)

Moriah: I'm leaving now (like you don't know I'll lurk for a few) so what's the DTJ act of 1999 (give us any rule, we'll break it...)!

Hi, KANE.

There, mark that off my "to do" list and I'm gone.

Hi, xanita, I'm old.

And, did I mention, I'm gone.

Ty King says:

Oh, and by the way, the only reason -mere- let me live is because I gave her my officially autographed Joss Whedon card from the year one set. Gee, I really miss that card. Oh, well. Back to eBay for another.

^
Ty King says:

AT YOUR DROPPED TAG!

Cripes, I should'a quit earlier.

One more, so I'll be able to sleep at night.

Malista, Malista
Prettier than Calista
Or that Helen chick in "Twist-uh"
I hope she has a sist-uh
('Cuz I know she has a mist-uh)
But, when I think about Malista
*censored*censored* a blist-uh
Though I've never even kissed 'uh
I'd give my life for just a
Smile from sweet Malista

There, Malista... there's your stupid poem, so will you let me be, for God's sake!?

Avarice - - With you on the "Grape" thing. Definitely.

LB - - Xander would be looking for loose change at the bottom of Cordy's laundry basket, of course. Where do you get this "memento" or "trophy" or "fetish" business, anyway? No, I want you to explain it to me.

Destructo Girl - - Sorry, I just said your Mom was Canadian because I dig Canadian Moms... as a concept. My mistake.

Mabb - - Goodnight.

Ty

did I mention it was a Ty King drive by...

Shadowslayer: Hi there! I haven't seen you in a while (I haven't been here in a week..er, while).

Jasmen: Cuz I know it bugs you! *eg*

Mabb: Woo Hoo! The sidewalk's where I'll be, then!

banana: Aww, Shucks! Thanks for the kind words. I really appreciate it (as do the other kids).

Sita: Not tonight. That's tomorrow night!

Moriah: must....follow.....cookies...!

BECKER: Being fanned with palm fronds and fed grapes by near-naked women DOES take some getting used to...*g*

Peri: Thanks! I'm glad ya like it!

thy Slayer: Greetings!

peri - - Nope, these were cops. Why doesn't anyone send stripping undertakers anymore? I can't be the only one who likes that.

Bruces Mom - - Actolerance, you can't tell me story ideas! If Joss found out, he would never rerun "SAR" or "Passion" again, and I get 25 grand a pop when he does. So, please... stop! I have mouths to feed. (And so do my wife and kids)

Shadowslayer - - I am not pure evil. There's a lot of malice and mischief mixed in there, too. Oh, and snails and puppy dog tails.

Destructo Girl - - "A woman can never have too many flowers"? Man, you sure know how to drop a hint. Unfortunately, I have lost your address. Mail it to me and I will wire you flowers. And your Mom may be the "Hottie Mom" in Canada, but my wife is the "Hottie Mom" down here in the states. Someday, when they have the big international competition, maybe they're meet.

Sarah-fym - - An Aussie vampire was considered, but with the vamp aversion to sunlight, he would never be able to say "G'day, Mate", so how would anyone know he was Australian. Didn't think about that, did you?

Sita (tNG) - - Yeah, I'm the "infamous" Ty, I guess. But, don't be "honored", because it will just make everyone else think you have no standards.

Lovely Poet - - Oh, I just assumed everyone here knew that Cordy's supposed "parents" show up in LA and have to be killed by Angel with an ancient pitchfork in episode #5 of "Angel." Oops, my bad. Sorry.

Gone now.

thy Slayer - - I'd love to help you out with info on WEB(B), but I wasn't even aware they'd re-opened it after the unsolved string of co-ed slayings last year. So, obviously, I am out of the loop on that for now. Sorry.

LB - - Well, if you mean the parents who Cordy thinks are her real parents, then the answer is that they are up to no good... as you will see on episode #5 of "Angel." But, you didn't hear it from me.

BTW, everyone scroll back for Joss and Jane postage earlier in the eve.

Avarice - - Hola! (Sorry, that's all the German I know.) Long time, no bump into one another. Howzitgoing?

AKA - - Weekend lunches work. Not this weekend, unfortunately. Meeting prep to be done (as soon as I get off the board). But e me and let me know when's good.

Kalika - - Uh, sorry if I got a little snappish. I'm up past my bedtime. It's already the year 2000 here in LA, you know.

Malista - - "Prose"? Sorry, but I'm not familiar with the form.

Buffy Sheridan - - No more "Buffy" writing for me. Joss says it is too exhausting all the work he has to do just to try to make me look good. Besides, I'm always harrassing the actresses when I'm on set.

Destructo Girl - - So what, so you're too good to settle? My wife settled, and not a day goes by that she spends an inordinate amount of time regretting that decision either. If women aren't willing to settle, then men like me and scary ripley would never find a mate.

Ty

NOTICE: This was my penultimate post.

Ty King says:

Angle man - - At the moment, I'm mostly writing posts for the Buffy Board. I'm in town for meetings and more meetings. Met with John Landis last week and again next week, for instance. Interesting insights into Buffy, has he. Maybe I'll share them some time.

Kalika - - "Ty released me"? What kind of crack is that?

Eiddileg - - Very brave of you to fill in for Seattle tonight. Thanks. It will help take the sting out of the real Seattle's absence.

Blueronin - - No, it turned out the police at my door weren't real police. So, which one of you clowns sent over the strip-o-gram, huh?

peri - - What a coincidence... that's the same song the strip-o-gram "cops" were singing. It was you that sent them, wasn't it?

Destructo Girl - - Tell your Mom thanks for teaching you to send thank you notes. As for whatever she taught you about knees... you must forgive her, as she is from another generation. Probably mine, in fact.

Oops, I just realized my slip is showing. Guess my Tytannia666 code won't work anymore.

Buffy Sheridan - - Yeah, sorry you missed me, too.

LB - - Re: your second topic: Are you talking about Cordy's biological parents or the parents who she now thinks are her real parents, but will reveal their true selves in episode #5 of "Angel" this season? Because, depending on which ones you mean, the answer will be different.

Haven't I done enough damage for one night?

Ty King says:

MeeB - - As for your search for Prince Charming, I will just tell you what it took me forever to get my wife to reluctantly accept: SETTLE.

Kalika - - I'll stop. I have no desire to instill fear. You are free to go... now, where is ripley?

Malista - - I'm not ignoring you. Just waiting for the poetic mood to strike. I fear I may have set the bar too high with the "Odes to Malista" so many years ago. And then, I ran out of tortured rhymes for "Malista." Sorry. I'll try harder.

Jasmen - - My "pets"? Oh, now I'm a little scared... but in a good way.

BTW, only in LA a couple weeks and already had lunch with -mere- (he bragged).

Ty

Hmmmm... so this is L.O.S.E.R.s, huh? Well, I like what you've done with the place since I've been gone.

ripley - - I love you, too, man. But not in that special way that I love my wife (or Joss, after a long night of heavy drinking), but in a purely spiritual way. That's what you meant, too, right?

Destructo Girl - - I keep looking for the SMG-signed stake on eBay, but so far, no sign of it. Does that mean you still have it? BTW, I'm still waiting for that return letter you kept talking about.

Blueronin - - Yes, Ty lives. If only in our minds and prayers. Whatever the hell that means.

Well... this time watch me really go, because I'm supposed to be writing. I'll try back some other L.O.S.E.R.s hour. Maybe on a night when the police are not pounding on my door and demanding that I open up.

Goodnight, all.

And goodnight, Seattle... wherever you are.
