- I'm glad you asked that, Phil... There's been a lot of erroneous speculation about that...
The simple truth is I was originally supposed to write DOOMED. Later, as time was running out, Joss suggested Marti split the script with me. But by the time we broke that story, we were four days away from filming. Rather than kill ourselves (and ruin a perfectly good weekend -- the weekend of Doug P's wedding, in fact) I asked Joss if we could bring Jane into the mix and split the script three ways. He agreed. Marti and I wrote the outline, then broke it into three parts.
It's important to note, there are many scripts with one writer's name on them, but scripted by one or two others. It's the nature of the business. Whether there's one name or three on the finished product, there shouldn't be any stigma attached. It's not like troubled feature scripts. Hope that clears the matter up.

- Vox -- You only have to choreograph fight scenes when the moves contain plot points. For instance: If Buffy needs to injure a demon's arm in a fight, and that is relevant to the story's future events, than script it. Or if there's some confusion as to how to move the fight from one location into adjoining one. Otherwise, just write: A BIG FIGHT ensues. Buffy (or whoever) is besting her opponent. That sort of thing...
