BorwnEyedGirl - Ok. A lot of questions... While we can express interests in certain stories, ultimately Joss decides who writes what script depending on who's up in the rotation. We "break" each story together, but we write the script alone in our offices or at home, at our own pace as long as we deliver on time.
As to how many more eps for me: I just have the one - Episode 21. That will make 3 and a third BUFFYs and 2 and a half ANGELs this year.
