- LEE - Firstly, you have to spell "writing" correctly or no one will hire you.
Take a class with some acredited school for television writing.
Next, decide on a show you really like and read as many scripts as you can get ahold of (five minimum).
After you've got a sample script of that show, do the process again with another (different genre - don't do an ER and an NYPD BLUE. Do an ER and a MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE.
If you're good, people will take notice, give you encouragement and eventually hire you.
